Sentosa Cove bungalow on sale for whopping $108 million

A Sentosa Cove bungalow has been listed for sale at a record $108 million.

According to Shin Min Daily News, real estate website PropertyGuru listed the two-storey bungalow as being situated at Ocean Drive. It sits on a land area of 20,000 sq ft.

The price works out to $9,000 per sq ft.

There are six bedrooms, and a swimming pool. It also has an ocean view. The owner is reportedly a Singaporean.

The PropertyGuru website said that three property agents had been listed as marketing the property and that it was an indication that the owner wanted to sell it fast.

However, there has been no interested buyer for the past six weeks, Shin Min Daily News reported.

A marketing agent told the real estate website that the property has not seen much interest from buyers despite being marketed for a month and that the high asking price was unusual.

The $108 million asking price exceeds the $39 million bungalow sold by surgeon Dr Susan Lim, which has five bedrooms, a living area and an entertainment room.

It was bought by businessman Shael Oswal.

An industry analyst told Shin Min Daily News that the asking price was phenomenal and that any willing buyers would most probably be a foreigner.

This foreigner may not just be looking to "flip" the property - buying and selling it at a profit after awhile - and could be looking for a holiday home.

He also said that the seller wanted to attract buyers who did not care about the price.

Given the $100 million in capital, he said it was possible to purchase an entire en bloc apartment block, or even buy over an island in Bintan to build a holiday resort.
