MR Tham Khai Meng, co-Chairman Asia Pacific for Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, listed as 'one of the most influential people in the communication business' by a New York magazine, has been been appointed a new member of the Singapore Land Authority (SLA).
Mr Tham has more than 20 years of experience in advertising, working in London, New York and across Asia.
His appointment by Law Minister K Shanmugam for a two-year term, is from June 1.

He is internationally recognised as a world-class advertising person and has been named by Campaign Brief Asia as the Number One Creative Director in Asia for seven consecutive years.
Advertising Age, a New York based publication, named him as 'one of the most influential people in the communication business'.
Mr Tham and the current members will lead and guide SLA in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities to optimise Singapore's land resources, said a SLA statement on Monday.
The Law Minister has also re-appointed Mr Greg Seow as chairman of SLA.
Three other members were also appointed for a further two-year term from June 1 are: Mr Yap Kim Wah, Senior Vice President, Singapore Airlines, Mr Latiff Ibrahim, Managing Partner, Harry Elias Partnership and Ms Koh Lin-Net, Deputy Secretary (Trade) (Designate), Ministry of Trade and Industry.
