'Home-based job' company giving excuses
Fri, Oct 03, 2008
The Star

TWO months ago, My friend and I were selected for a home-based job by a service company.

In order to get assignments, we had to pay an annual charge of RM185 ($78) per person which is not refundable. They promised us the assignments within three days but until now we still haven't received any work.

The first excuse was that the company didn't have enough assignments to give out. So they promised to look for other companies.

But after two months, nothing happened.

Last week, I went to see them and they said since it was the month of Ramadan, they were not giving out any assignments for home-based jobs.

I don't understand how they can still sign up people when they have no jobs. Are they just out for our money?
