KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA - Two local companies - Return 2 Green Sdn Bhd and Bio Green Bags Sdn Bhd - have developed the technology and capabilities to manufacture a range of eco-friendly products from agricultural waste.

The products will be biodegradable and compostable.

Company president and CEO P. Ramaness said the range of products for Return 2 Green included biodegradable plates, sectional plates, bowls, clamshells, cups, cutleries and hangers.

The collection from Bio Green Bags features biodegradable shopping bags, garbage bags, cling film and gloves.

Ramaness developed the idea over the past four years to address the methane emission problems from the farming and plantation industry.

Return 2 Green/Bio Green Bags chairman Lt Col (K) Dr Sam Quah said their goods would help in waste management.

The two local companies are based in Penang's Prai Industrial Estate.
