SLA launches tender for 11 Penang lane

The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) is launching a public tender for state property at 11 Penang Lane

Formerly the office of the National Council of Social Services, SLA will allow hotels, commercial  and foreign system schools and offices to be built on the land.

The tenancy is for an initial period of three years, with an option to renew for two more terms of three years each, subject to agreement.

The property, comprising an 8-storey block situated within a city-fringe location, has an estimated land area of 807 square metres (sqm) and an estimated gross floor area of 3,150 sqm.

According to the SLA, the guide rent for the property will be about $103,900 per month.

So far, it has received 27 enquiries regarding the property, including interested queries from the hotel and education industries.

The site showround for 11 Penang Lane will be on 18 Aug at 9.30 am. The tender will remain open for 3 weeks from 11 August 09 and will close on 1 September 09 at 11 am sharp.
