Jobseekers, verify companies' identities

WHILE browsing through the job advertisements in the classifieds, I noticed an organisation which identified itself as 'a reputable financial institution' which did not reveal its identity and had an e-mail account registered with Yahoo!.

The company was looking for recruits to fill several top positions.

How secure is a Yahoo! e-mail address when it comes to identity theft'

Also, I wonder why a reputable organisation would need to mask its identity.

Jobseekers may wish to establish the status and integrity of such organisations before sending in their personal data.
