I REFER to the letter, "Bosses, let workers take leave on hourly basis" (my paper, Sept 29).

Taking leave on an hourly basis would benefit employers and workers.

However, when it comes to medical leave, perhaps the authorities, unions and employers could work out an equitable way of giving out medical certificates and granting medical leave on an hourly basis.
