The heavy downpour on Wednesday did not spoil Juliet and Willie's moods when they arrived at AsiaOne's offices in Toa Payoh North.
Both were here to recieve their Macbooks, which they won in the AsiaOne Digital "This is me" contest.
26-year-old marketing executive Juliet Teo's entry into the contest came out tops in the readers' choice vodcast segment.
And AsiaOne reader Willie Tan, 33, was one of those who voted for her.
He picked her entry because he thought it was "creative, interesting and natural."
Willie, who visits AsiaOne on a daily basis, was picked from a pool of readers who had voted for Juliet's entry to receive a Macbook in our contest.
He told AsiaOne that his win was "totally unexpected and pleasant surprise." But the Mac enthusiast was really excited on winning the Macbook, saying it has come at the right time as his Apple Powerbook of five years has been giving him problems recently.
He can now use his new Macbook to log onto AsiaOne, a site he has been visiting daily for the past eight years. He said that he likes the portal because of its updated information on business and current affairs. Willie also said that he even logs on when he travels.
Juliet on the other hand has never used a Macintosh before, but intends to switch from desktop to her new Macbook.
"I am exhilarated and feel a sense of achievement when I know I am voted the most popular vodcast entry. I feel appreciated that my vodcast has been voted as the people's favourite," Juliet exclaimed.
Juliet, who was glad to be able to showcase her talent in this area, likes the AsiaOne news section best, as it keeps her updated on current affairs.
