Stop your e-mail after you have clicked Send

Believe it or not, you can actually stop your Gmail message from reaching your recipient after it has been sent.

By Oo Gin Lee

It is simple to activate too. Go to your Gmail settings at the top of the page, then click on the Labs tab. Now scroll down to the Undo Send feature and enable it. Restart Gmail.

Try composing an e-mail to yourself. After you click on Send, you will now see the Undo link at the top of your e-mail. Click on Undo quickly and you can stop your message mid-flight provided you are fast enough.

There is a window period of about five seconds after which you will not be able to stop your e-mail from being delivered to its recipient.

The best thing is still to think before you hit the Send button. However, if you are impulsive and act too fast at times, there is now a way to save yourself in the nick of time.
