Problems with PC housekeeping

PC housekeeping

Lately when I click on the Accessories folder to defrag my laptop which runs on Windows XP, a pop-up message appears: C:\Windows\system32\defrg.ms Access is denied.

Is my program corrupted?

Huang Yuwen

If you had typed the name of the defrag program as defrg.ms, it is wrong. The correct name is defrag.exe.

That said, my advice would be that you download and install a good anti-virus software such as AVG (http://free.avg.com). Then perform a thorough scan of your whole system.
