Netbooks are the rage these days but there is no denying that for some uses, they can be underwhelming. Such is the case of watching video, especially high-definition ones, as few netbooks come with a dedicated graphics card. The result: jerky playback.
The HP Mini 311 sports an 11.6-inch, 1,366 x 768 screen as well as an Nvidia Ion graphics chip that gives smooth HD video images. Load up the video via the integrated media reader.
All this, plus 802.11b/g wireless and Bluetooth, for $849 is already a deal but for Sitex, HP is throwing in exclusive bundles for purchases of its laptops and netbooks.
The Mini 311 comes with a copy of Norman Security Suite 7.

With so many hit games out for the year-end period, including shooter Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, role-playing Dragon Age: Origins and music game, Band Hero, the first decision would be which game console to buy - PlayStation 3 (PS3) or the Xbox 360.
Sony's updated, slim device packs a new 120GB hard drive, alongside a Blu-ray player, built-in wireless connectivity and free online gameplay for most games over the PlayStation Network.
Of course, the best thing about the new PS3 Slim is that while it is much smaller, it is also more energy efficient than the original.
