>KUALA LUMPUR: Police obtained a warrant of arrest yesterday against Malaysia Today website editor, Raja Petra Kamaruddin.
He is expected to be charged today with criminal defamation linked to allegations in his statutory declaration on June 18 that implicated Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, in the murder of Mongolian woman Altantuya Shaariibuu.
Police confirmed that a warrant of arrest had been issued.
In his declaration filed at the High Court, Raja Petra, 58, had named three people, including Rosmah, who he claimed were present when Altantuya was killed in 2006.
The other two, were army bomb expert Lt-Col Aziz Buyong and his wife, an aide to Rosmah, Norhayati Hassan.
On May 6, Raja Petra was charged under the Sedition Act 1948 for posting the article "Let's send the Altantuya mur-derers to hell" on the website www.malaysia-today.net on April 25. The article linked the three as well as events that allegedly took place before Altantuya's murder.
