Established since 1988, the 20th edition of SITEX promises to deliver yet another electrifying platform for IT bargain hunters to kick start their year end festive shopping. SITEX returns to the Singapore Expo from 27 - 30 November 2008, 11am - 9pm. Admission is free.
Said Mr Edwin Low, CEO of Singex Exhibitions, "SITEX has grown dramatically in terms of size and visitorship since its inception. Year on year, SITEX continues to woo visitors with the latest consumer IT offerings, new initiatives and themed segments. This year, we have extended our exhibition space to accommodate over 200 exhibitors showcasing more than 500 IT brands and an anticipated 800,000 visitors."
"Shop For Free" Lucky Draw
In celebration of SITEX's 20th Anniversary, customers with a minimum spend of $100
in a single receipt can enter the "Shop for Free" Lucky Draw where 8 lucky winners will walk away with a total of $2,000 cash each (total $16,000).
Free $200 CBL Data Recovery Voucher
Besides the lucky draw, the Organisers are also giving away a free data recovery voucher to each customer who spends a minimum $100 in a single receipt.
Bigger Exhibition
In addition to Halls 5 and 6, the sold-out exhibition will be extended to Foyer 2 and Atrium 5. To offer more lifestyle options to visitors, new segments such as Sports Electronics and Digital Art Technology have also been added to the show. Other familiar segments that will occupy the 21,500 sqm of floor space include Animation, Camera & Camcorder, Computer & Hardware, Gaming, Home Entertainment, Mobile Communications, MP3/MP4/MP5, Automobile Electronics, IT & New Media Education, IT for Kids, and Smart Home.
Paper Recycling
Following the tremendous success of last year's electronic recycling initiative, the Organisers are taking another leap forward by partnering Clean Solutions to introduce paper recycling at this year's show. Applauding SITEX's green movement,
Mr Alistair Tan, Business Development Manager of Clean Solutions, said "For many of us, the year-end season often inspires a spirit of giving. Visitors can do their bit for charity by disposing unwanted pamphlets and flyers collected during the show into designated paper recycling bins placed outside the halls." The Organisers will
be donating all proceeds from the recycling efforts to the Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD).
Ladies Go Tech!
Mr Edwin Low, CEO of Singex Exhibitions, commented "SITEX has traditionally been a male-skewed event with males making up more than 68% of visitors. We have observed that the number of females to SITEX has increased steadily over the past three years from 23% in 2005 to 32% in 2007. We have therefore devised a Ladies Go Tech promotion to offer our tech-savvy female shoppers another good reason to make their IT purchases at SITEX."
With a minimum spend of $200 in a single receipt, female shoppers can take part in a Lucky Dip. Attractive prizes include: Asia Radio 2000's SkinBody Meter, Epicentre's iPod Nano Pink with V-moda pink earphones, Sony Cyber-Shot T-300, WD pink portable external drives, d-skin protective disc skin and many more (click on www.sitex.com.sg/ladies_prize.html for more info).

Visitors can opt to trade in their quality electronic products for instant cash to finance their new purchases.
SITEX 2008 is organised by Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) and managed by Singex Exhibitions.
