Get style and fashion tips from your phone

Your phone is now capable of more than just giving you the latest news - it can tell you what to wear when you next hit town.

Fashion-conscious consumers can now get style tips and the latest fashion news from Nokia's Fashion Asia widget, available for download to several phone models by the Finnish handset maker.

A special edition of the Nokia N97 mini was also announced to coincide with the launch of the widget.

An all-new collaboration between Nokia and regional fashion house F J Benjamin, the Fashion Asia widget serves up the latest fashion news and tips, allows users to view updated brand collections every month as well as upload and share their own looks and styles.

Weekly fashion tips from magazines Harper's Bazaar and Cleo will also be available through the widget. Those who decide to put style tips to practice can also locate stores via integration with Nokia's Ovi Maps.

The Fashion Asia widget is currently compatible with the Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini, the Nokia X6, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, Nokia 5230 and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

Nokia has also announced a special Nokia N97 mini Raoul limited edition. The phone has a limited run of 1,000 units each in Singapore and Malaysia.

Pre-loaded with the Fashion Asia widget, the Raoul phone comes in a rose-gold metallic finish and special matching accessories including a premium matt pebble-grained calf-skin leather Raoul pouch, matching phone strap featuring gun-metal hardware and an additional Raoul phone backplate to up the luxe factor.

The Fashion Asia widget is pre-installed in all new Nokia N97 mini handsets, and is available for download from the Nokia Ovi Store in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand for other compatible models. Users in more countries are expected to be able to download the widget on a later date.

The limited edition Nokia N97 mini Raoul phone is available now and retails for $1,138 in Singapore and RM2,598 in Malaysia. The phone is exclusive to Singapore and Malaysia.
