SONY has taken the lead in pushing 3-D movies to homes, announcing on Wednesday the new BDP-S470 Blu-ray Disc player that plays high-definition 3-D movies, PC World reported.

Existing home-theatre systems will be able to play 3-D Blu-ray movies, too, when the relevant firmware for the devices is released later this year.
