Sony 3D Bravia LX900 series
Price not available, available by the third quarter

RECREATE a cinema-like experience at home with this full-HD LED telly that has 3-D smarts. Totally flat in front, this Bravia's screen flows seamlessly into the bezel for a visual wow factor.

The TV is smart enough to dim the display to save energy when no one is in the room. It does this with face recognition - like the tech used in cameras. If the TV does not detect any faces, it will level down in power.

To get an immersive 3-D experience from this screen, you will have to don what Sony calls active-shutter glasses that synch with 3-D images of the programme on the screen.

The set comes with only two pairs of the glasses, so you will have to pay for extra pairs.
