SGH-U900 SAMSUNG SOUL

By Kelvin Teh

Forget about the iPhone.

Check out the latest phone revelation in the SAMSUNG SOUL slider phone, otherwise known as the SAMSUMG U900.

Sleek and stylish design

Launched officially at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, it boasts a slim (only 12.9mm thin) and lightweight metallic body that simply screams style.

Magical touchscreen

The magic of this phone lies within the touch screen nagivation window feature. Armed with haptic technology (from the Greek "haptesthai," meaning to touch), Samsung Soul enables users to feel clicks, vibrations and other tactile input.

In other words, imagine touching an icon on the navigation screen. Providing the user with 22 kinds of touch sensations, the haptic technology that plays on one's sense of touch will, for example, make the user feel that they are pressing down on a real button.

Also, it is adaptive to the user's needs, with screen icons changing accordingly to the application that one is using - be it music, FM Radio or Image Editor.

For instance, when one is using the MP3 player on the phone, the touch screen will change to display music related icons, making phone nagivation easy and convenient.

Professional-like photography

The Samsung Soul also provides a almost professional photographic experience for users. It has a 5 mega pixel camera that also comes along with functions like Face Detection, Wide Dynamic Range Optimiser and Image Stabiliser - things that you would have expected to find in a high end camera instead of a mobile phone.

Fast Internet access

And with an external memory of up to 8GB, you can be sure that there will be plenty of space for that music or picture library of yours in the phone. What's more, you can also easily share your pictures and videos with your friends as the phone comes with high-speed 3.5G access at HSDPA 7.2Mbps.
