IF ONLY I could banish gizmo clutter. I would like to have my desk tidy by being able to combine PC peripherals such as speakers, microphone and a hands-free set in an all-in-one wonder.
The Logitech Pure-Fi is almost such a device, combining speakers and a hands-free set into one handy gadget.
It is a Bluetooth-enabled computer speaker and has an embedded microphone for phone conferencing via the phone's
Bluetooth connection or Voice over IP (VoIP) services such as Skype.
Sound-wise, the gizmo has a clear microphone and reproduces all the highs and lows faithfully from MP3 tracks or straight from the CD. Those looking for deeper bass should probably get a sub-woofer that the Pure-Fi lacks.
The shiny black Pure-Fi has in it 12 hours of running time and will last a day at the beach. Still,
I would have preferred the option of being able to pop in AA batteries too, in case the built-in lithium batteries go flat.
Final say
A good gadget to have for the work desk when wanting to listen to audio tracks from the mobile phone.
