Zumreed headphones

By Yeong Ah Seng

Sfit Graphic headphone (left), ZHP-005 headphone (right)
» Price: Sfit ($79) - available in six graphic plates, ZHP-005 ($89) - available in six colours

I HAVE always favoured on-the-ear headphones, not least because they are more hygienic when shared between users, but also because the sound quality is better.

And they are more comfortable than in-the-ear designs.

Zumreed headphones, a Japanese brand, may encourage some to throw away their boring old sets. The headphones are definitely more hip and come in striking designs and colours.

Sound quality is not bad. Of the two headphones available for review, the ZHP-005, a cup design, was the better-sounding headphone.

However, the Sfit Graphic headphone was more comfortable as it does not cover the whole ear. It is also lighter.
