What do you do to keep fit?
I go to the gym five times a week and I do a variety of training techniques and weights as I find this is the best way for me to stay in shape. I do not train to become bulky but to gain and maintain functional strength that will help me feel and look good.
I live in Sydney where the climate and beaches are amazing, so I replace some of my gym sessions with swimming sessions in summer. It is also very important for me to have at least one day off a week with no exercise so that my body and mind can rest and repair.
What is your secret to looking so fabulous?
I have always been lucky in that I do not have to diet. It does get harder as one gets older though. It is also really important to drink lots of water so your body can get rid of toxins.
The key to looking good is doing things that make you feel good. For me, that means regular exercise and lots of down time with good friends who make me laugh.
What is your diet like?
I always eat breakfast. I love freshly baked fruit toast in the morning with bananas on top and freshly brewed coffee. I have a low blood sugar level so I try to eat often to keep my energy up and metabolism moving. Flavour, freshness and things that are in season are the most important things when it comes to choosing what I eat.
What are your indulgences?
I love chocolate especially with mint, orange, nuts or chilli. My other favourite indulgence is cheese, which I cannot have too often as I have a high blood cholesterol level.
I am lucky that I enjoy and can tolerate most foods provided they are fresh and well cooked.
Do you count your calories?
I always do a mental check of what I have eaten in a day but I never count calories.
What do you do to relax?
Watching different forms of live performances is my favourite way to relax. I love a wide variety of shows, so I go to everything from opera to avant-garde theatre productions.
I love reading and hanging out with friends to find great new restaurants and bars to try.
What are the three most important things in your life?
Strong relationships with those I love which includes family, friends and my partner. A healthy body and mind because without them, everyday things become a struggle. My sense of humour because when life gets a bit out of balance, I can usually see the funny side.
Would you go for plastic surgery?
I do not see anything wrong with that and if I feel I need it, I would go ahead and do it. Having said that, I have never seen a man who looks good with a face lift or implants.
Do you think you are sexy?
I feel sexiest when I am fit and feeling confident about life.
