This bacteria increases your risk of cancer

Dr L.Y. Kam

ARE you bothered by stomach problems such as pain in the abdomen, bloating, discomfort, nausea and loss of appetite or vomiting? The gnawing pain in the area below your ribs and above your navel may come several hours after a meal or in the middle of the night when your stomach is empty. You might be thinking that you are experiencing gastric ulcers or gastritis.

You may not know that these symptoms could be caused by the Helicobacter Pylori (H.pylori) bacteria. H.pylori infection is thought to be present in about two thirds of the world population.

In many cases, H.pylori infection does not create complications or symptoms but its presence does present a risk of serious complications such as gastritis and ulcers, as mentioned, and possibly stomach cancer.
