PETALING JAYA: Three slimming products found to contain scheduled poisons have had their registration numbers cancelled by the Health Ministry.

The products, Slimway Herbs, BMI-9 Xylimming Night capsule and BMI-9 Xlymming Day capsule, were found to contain the scheduled poison, Sibutramine.

According to a statement from the ministry, the use of Sibutramine without consulting a doctor could be detrimental as it could lead to high blood pressure and other cardiovascular effects.

The statement added that anyone in possession of these products was advised to immediately cease selling, distributing or using the product.
