Jackie Chan: Regular exercise is essential

Regular exercise is important, says international superstar Jackie Chan.

The actor, known for his acrobatic fighting style and stunts, was in Singapore last Sunday to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the California Fitness Jackie Chan Sport Centre.

"Although I have a really hectic schedule, exercise is always an important part of my life.

"Indeed, I'm here to remind everybody that regular exercise is essential for keeping a healthy lifestyle," said Jackie, who took part in celebration activities, including the JC Boxercise special class and Zumba Fitness dance craze.

More than 300 members and guests were present for the centre's anniversary.

President of California Fitness, Colin Heggie said that they were grateful for Jackie's continuous support over the years.

"We are so excited to see him again today," he said.

California Fitness Jackie Chan Sport Centre opened in 2005 and is located at Bugis Junction Towers.

Other than the Bugis Club, California Fitness operates three other clubs in Singapore, which are located in Velocity@Novena Square, Orchard Building and Raffles Place.
