Fewer complaints against doctors last year

THE number of complaints against doctors seem to be on a downward trend.

Last year's figures were significantly lower than the previous year - by 30 per cent.

The Singapore Medical Council received a total of 138 complaints against doctors in 2008 and 115 complaints in 2007 - a significant increase from the 81 complaints received in 2006.

But there were 96 complaints received last year.
