Parental influence

Knowing that your parents are rooting for you - and not your ability to maintain an A grade - can be a major relief.

Dr Lim said: 'Parents can also maintain communication with their child's school. This will help them understand how their child is doing in school.'

He added: 'Parents are role models for their child in every way. How they deal with stress sets an example for their child.'
