Emotional baggage
Projectiles of unhappiness often fall into our garden, and like unwanted seeds, take root. How does one deal with emotional baggage?
Treat them exactly as what they are ... baggage. Pack them in sealed boxes and put them in a corner in the deepest abyss of the mind. They do not add value to life. Enjoy every moment today as if this is the last day, and look forward to a better tomorrow. These are the basic ingredients for living a good life with a healthy mind, body, and soul.
Happiness is infectious. A happy person exudes optimism, enthusiasm, and zest of life. An unhappy person would invoke negative emotions like despair, hopelessness, and fear.
Happiness when shared is a precious gift, but it must come from within. It can start with a smile or a handshake, which can have the power to end hostilities and wars.
Barry Manilow has always been my favourite crooner, and as I write this, I could hear him in the background ... "I can't smile without you, I'm glad if you're glad ... I'm sad when you're sad ..."
So, if your score of happiness is five on a scale of 10, why not make it six TNT (today, not tomorrow)? Do not forget to be happy, otherwise sickness will remember you.
