The dos and don'ts of hair care

1. Don't keep brushing your hair constantly; it will destroy your hair follicles.

2. Silicon is not an effective substance in hair products.

3. Don't fret when your hair falls every morning. It just means that there are new follicles ready to grow. However, if a lot of hair falls at any one time, you'll need to see your doctor.

4. Some hair serums in the market are only meant to make your hair shinier; not healthier.

5. Read the ingredients used in a product. Too much alcohol in a shampoo will make your hair dry.

6. Drink a lot of water for healthier hair.

7. Dandruff is caused when the scalp is too oily. It could be a clinical problem, too.

8. Wash your hair at once a day, depending on the weather.

9. Blonde hair has less dark melanin, and so, is less able to fight UV rays.
