Did you know that stress, hormonal changes, poor diet as well as the lack of sleep can all contribute to hair loss? One's hair follicles can become weakened as a result of the stresses on the body, and this in turn leads to thinning hair.

Phyto Hair Spa's latest offering, the Regenerating 'Thairapy' Treatment, aims to address this issue by using selected PHYTO products in a pampering five-step treatment which helps to strengthen hair from roots to ends. It claims a clinical success rate of 85% and is supposed to halt the hair loss process while promoting hair growth.

The treatment begins with a thorough cleansing of the scalp using a solution of botanical extracts. This is massaged into your scalp for several minutes - a very relaxing experience for those who love head massages.

This is followed by the application of Phyto Polene Plus - another ampoule that is also massaged to the scalp to for better absorption. The ampoule is supposed to prevent hair loss by strengthening the roots of the hair.

Next is a 20-minute 'oxygen therapy' where one's hair is covered by what looks like a steamer machine. Instead of steam, however, oxygen is pumped through the hair. This is supposed to detoxify the scalp and promote healthier hair growth.

A relaxing massage of the scalp, head, shoulders and upper back using an aromatherapy oil of your choice then follows. Arguably the best part of the entire treatment, one can just relax and let the skilled therapists knead out the tight knots in one's neck and shoulders.

After a thorough shampoo, another ampoule - Photycyane, which is supposed to promote hair growth - is then massaged into the scalp.

The session ends with a blow dry during which one's tresses are carefully styled.

Ice Wong, a consultant at Phyto Hair Spa, told AsiaOne Health that the treatment has both preventive and restorative functions. Results are visible after three months of weekly treatments, she added.

Priced at $208 for a session that lasts for approximate 1h 45min, weekly treatments will set one back by a hefty sum. However, if one is simply looking for a relaxing way to unwind while having one's tresses pampered, a Regenerating 'Thairapy' Treatment is a real treat.
