Q I have bad insect bite scars on my legs. I don't always want to be in pants though. What else can I wear to hide them?

A I've got good news for girls with 5- or 10-cent coin size mozzie bite scars on their legs. Bare is out, covered pins are back in fashion. At Prada, models were sent down the runway in two-tone ribbed leg warmers which they matched with pumps. And at Agnes B, brightly opaque tights were teamed with equally boldly coloured 1960s shift dresses.
Whether you pick nylons, tights or even leg warmers, think coloured and patterned hosiery - very much in vogue now. Ribbed textures in lengths that reach up to the knees give that schoolgirl Lolita primness - and cover up ugly scars too.
Warm, ribbed and stylish, two-toned and patterned hosiery are all the rage now. Nylon and cotton socks, $39, from Max Mara, 01-26/27/35-37 Forum
To work opaque tights well, pick those in the same colour family and just several hues off from your outfit. For example, if you have on a red dress, go for hot pink tights. If you wear a sapphire blue dress, team it with topaz or jade green hosiery. --PHOTO: AGNES B
