No reason to go ahead with marriage

I AM a 46-year-old divorcee. For over a year, I have had a close friendship with a 47-year-old man who is not married.

We live and work in different towns about 90 minutes' drive apart.

Every Saturday, he comes to the house and asks me to play with his private parts before going to sleep.

But sometimes, when I tell him I do not want to play, he gets angry. Then he tells me about how his previous girlfriend used to entertain him, which gets me angry.

Nowadays, he seldom hugs me and whenever I ask him to, he tells me he is very tired because of work. But he wants to make love.

So what shall I do? I have thought about leaving him but I don't know how.

His family members like me and they have asked him when he will marry me but he always replies: "I have no money so how can we get married?"

So, his sister suggested to him that we could just get registered first.

Fed-up

IF your boyfriend's sexual demands are already turning you off now, how can you even contemplate marriage with him?

Much as his family likes you, you are not spending your life with them.

And even though you only see your fellow once a week, you seem to shudder at his nightly expectations. You would prefer hugs, kisses and emotional warmth but he is more intent on getting his sexual fantasies satisfied.

You share more anger than love. So what is the basis for a marriage?

Do not feel that there is no future unless you are married. You have already endured a failed marriage so do not rush into the next.

A long-distance relationship is tough enough but if you do not get along in bed, what do you have to sustain your feelings?

What you have is not a thunderbolt love affair. You seem to tolerate the situation because you have nothing better to turn to.

So let not desperation push you into a hasty decision you will soon regret.

Think carefully before you commit to a relationship that leaves you feeling sick and revolted every night.
