Buy a lipstick, help a child

Buy a lipstick, help a child suffering from HIV or Aids. M.A.C cosmetics has launched six exclusive Viva
Glam product lines to help fight HIV and Aids, and to raise awareness of the disease to date. The latest is
Viva Glam VI, a warm terracotta-plum cast with pearl finish and endorsed by celebrities Dita Von Teese and
Eve.

100 per cent of the retail selling price goes to the M.A.C Aids Fund to help patients living with HIV/Aids.

Viva Glam lipsticks, $28 each, Lipglass, $27 each

For your lashes

Maybelline's Volum' Express Hyper Curl is a value-for-money mascara does all that it says. Volumises and lengthens lashes and wears well.
It does not smudge and keeps lashes curled throughout the day. Two - three coats will give lashes
sufficient volume and curl. I liked the curved wand as it makes for very easy application to the whole
length of lashes.

Available in waterproof version and comes in two shades: Very Black and Brown.

Retails for $16.90 at Watsons, Guardian and selected department stores and major hypermarkets from Jan
2008.

Sunscreens to look out for

Overexposure to the sun may result in the development of skin cancer, melanin production that leads to age
spots, wrinkles and even allergies. In the short term, skin that has been exposed to too much sun will lose
its elasticity and get dull.

So the advice of slopping on sunscreen is one that can never be repeated too often. To get the most out of
sunscreens, look for ones that contain Mexoryl SX and Mexoryl XL. These are photostable filters that are
stable against both heat and light and provide protection against UVB and UVA rays.

Try sunscreens Biotherm UV, Garnier's UV Protect, Lancome UV Expert, La-Roche Posay, Vichy, Maybelline's
Whitestay UV Base, L'Oreal UV Perfect, or any sunscreens that list these as ingredients.
