One-stop shopping

The urbanista might adore shopping but not everyone's got the luxury of time to stroll down Orchard Road.

So imagine our delight when we came across not one but two three-in-one stores from two popular fashion retailers in the new island wing of Raffles City.

As its name suggests, the new extension sits in the middle of the mall, surrounded by existing shops.

On the first floor is Raoul's eighth and largest store in Singapore, launched on Oct 24.

The 2,659 sq ft outlet costs over $300,000 to set up and is the home-grown brand's first store to house its men's, women's and accessories ranges under one roof.

Another one-stop shop is that combining British high-street labels Topshop, Topman and, for the first time in the world, Dorothy Perkins.

Run by fashion conglomerate Wing Tai Clothing, which owns franchise rights to all three brands in Singapore and Malaysia, the store takes up all

6,600 sq ft of the second storey of the new wing and is open on all sides.

Opened on Dec 11, the mega-shop was designed by Topshop and Topman designers who were flown in from Britain to recreate features such as mannequin displays on parapet.

The cost of renovation was unavailable at press time.

While the combo store is half the size of the largest Topshop/Topman branch here at Wisma Atria which spans

13,000 sq ft, it stocks the full Topshop range, including the Petite and Kate Moss for Topshop collections.

At 2,000 sq ft, the Dorothy Perkins store is the largest of the 10 outlets here.

The new three-in-one Raoul store is at 01-13 Raffles City while the three-in-one Dorothy Perkins, Topshop and Topman store is at 02-39 Raffles City.
