Everyone knows the imperative of looking good. Rebecca Morrice Williams, founder of make-up and beauty brand, Becca, reveals what she would not leave home without.

Concealer - Even if you do not have foundation, use concealer to hide imperfections.

Sunscreen - To block all those killer UV rays that are just bad for your skin.

Cream blush - Nothing like a blusher to add colour to your countenance.

Mascara - To open up eyes and add liveliness to your peepers.

Lip gloss - It's only polite to look good when in the company of others.

Here are some gems we found to help you in your quest to look good. Also, get to know what are the latest looks from Esprit and Beno La Mode, as well as where you go to find added bling for your wardrobe repertoire.

Escada

If you enjoy the signature sweet, delicate fragrances from Escada, Moon Sparkle will not disappoint you.
The fragrance is sixteenth in the line of Escada's limited edition seasonal fragrance and is part of its Fashion Fragrance Collection.

The flacon is the traditional heartshape design, updated with smooth curves in rich colours of red and dark violet. A beautiful bottle to add to your perfume collection.

Fruity overtones are combined with floral undertones. The top accord is pleasantly sweet, with notes of strawberry and blackcurrant, blended with a citrus cocktail and red apple. There is nothing not to like about it.

Middle notes of sweet pea and freesia infused with jasmine and rose make for a heady combination.

Underlining the fruity floral overtone is a light muskiness provided by raspberry and sandalwood notes, paired with dry amber.

It is a fragrance that bespeaks a confident, self-assured woman who is not afraid to flaunt her femininity.

There is a version for men that features a blend of citrus and woody notes. Fresh mandarin uplifts, while Vetyver adds a masculine edge.

The limited edition Moon Sparkle EDT and Moon Sparkle For Men retail at $83 (50ml), $111 (90ml) each.

Available at BHG Bugis from March 7, 2008, and island wide from March 14, 2008.

Becca

The next time you take off from Changi Airport's Terminal 3, take some time to check out make-up brand Becca. After years of searching for the 'perfect foundation', brand founder and make-up artist Rebecca Morris Williams created her own line of make-up to achieve perfect-looking skin.

Becca boasts a palette of 34 shades of concealers and 30 foundation colours in over 250 products. This means that women of all skin colours will be able to find a shade to perfectly match their skin.

The look is so natural and sheer that Rebecca says the foundations are suitable even for men. Another plus point: the make-up stays on all day.

The mineralised make-up will not agitate sensitive skin and can even be used by people suffering from psoriasis. It also provides sun protection of SPF 20 to 30+ and skin-caring anti-oxidant vitamins.

Available at Nuance-Watson's Duty-Free at Changi Airport Terminal 3. Prices range from $45 onwards.

Laneíge

Use your blusher to highlight your face, or slim down your cheeks. The good folks at Laneíge have these tips for you.

To achieve a slimmer-looking face:
- Apply shading (bolder) colours just below the forehead, on the sides of the nose, along the jaw line and outlines of cheeks to give natural-looking blush.

- Apply highlighter colours to the T-zone area, eye area, below the eyes, and on the tip of the chin to add brightness.

A good blush to use is Laneíge's Professional Selection Blusher.

Content producer, Geraldine Ling, says she liked that the blusher was dual-toned. A highlighter colour, such as the peachy-pink tone on and a darker, dusky pink allowed for effective blending to achieve a natural-looking colour for the face.

To achieve a more vivid, brighter look

Use light pink and peach colours for a livelier look.
- Apply blush on the centre of the cheek apples. This makes cheeks more noticeable when you smile.
- After putting on foundation, apply the Creamy Shimmer Blusher in a tapping and spreading motion.

Anna Sui

Anna Sui's Loose Compact Powder UV is ingenious if nothing else.

To make it more convenient to bring along your loose powder for on-the-go touch-ups, a silicone surface sits atop the compact to prevent powder from spilling. Apply light pressure with your puff on the surface and slits open up to allow you to access the powder.  Otherwise, the powder will stay safe in the compact.

This way, you get to maintain that "freshly applied make-up" look throughout the day.

Pair it up with the Oil Control Paper Case to blot off excess oil from your face. Why? Simply because it comes in Anna Sui's attractive Victorian-inspired case.

The Loose Compact Powder UV Case retails for $23, and the refill retails for $43. The Compact Powder refill is available in five shades. The Oil Control Paper Case retails for $30 and $7 for paper refills. Available at all major department stores from mid-March.
