How did car end up at this spot?

HER sports car crashed through a concrete barrier by the side of the road and went hurtling down a slope for 300 metres.

But, fortunately, the 22-year-old female driver, whose name is not known, was unhurt in the accident. This happened last Saturday night at 10.35pm near Blk 413A Fernvale Link in Sengkang.

The woman's Volkswagen Eos was badly damaged with the front bumper crumpled, and motor parts strewn all over the ground.

The driver, who appeared dazed, told Shin Min Daily News that as she was turning, a taxi had swung by too close to her vehicle. In a moment of panic, she had hit the accelerator instead of the brake .

She was later seen frantically making calls on her handphone.

The young woman looked shaken as she spoke on her mobile phone and sobbed at intervals.

Her friends later arrived and helped her call for a tow truck.
