Kudos for off-peak car scheme tweaks

I WELCOME the Land Transport Authority's (LTA) moves to enhance the off-peak car (OPC) scheme.

Many off-peak car owners gave feedback and suggestions for improving the scheme.

Kudos to the government agencies and senior officers from the Ministry of Transport who acknowledged and acted upon the feedback.

I hope that other government agencies could follow suit in responding effectively to public feedback.

I would also like to suggest that a half-day licence be introduced, such as from 7am to 1pm and 1pm to 7pm, at a cost of, say, $10, to cater to car owners who need to drive only for a short period during restricted hours.

Mr Muhammad Dzul Azhan Haji Sahban
