Clamp down on service-road hogs

my paper

By Mr Jason Chen Ee Liang

I have noticed a trend whereby an increasing number of vehicles, including cars and lorries, are parked illegally on
service roads around HDB flats.

Service roads are the only access route for emergency vehicles such as rubbish trucks, ambulances and fire engines.

Therefore, it is important to keep service roads clear at all times.

I hope HDB and the authorities would be stricter in issuing summonses to such illegal-parking.
