How long can I leave a car without starting and running it? Aside from potential battery problem will there be any mechanical problems?
Sean Teoh
Vehicles are always better off being driven on a regular basis.
If that is not possible, you should have someone to drive it twice a week for about 30 minutes as well as to have the vehicle serviced in accordance with the car distributor/manufacturer's recommended intervals.
If you leave the vehicle unattended for a long time, beside the battery problem, the oil and fluid will be deteriorated much faster than when driven regularly, especially under our humid environment.
The tyres also will be deteriorated much faster than normal and brakes may jam, and some parts may become rusty due to the lack of lubrication etc.
