Quality tyres from rising brand

By Ben Tan

JOHOR BARU - What started off as a little known motorcycle tyre brand in Malaysia has today become one of the top names in the motorcycle tyre business in the country.

The Maxxis brand, distributed by Daytona Sport Trading (M) Sdn Bhd, has been making huge inroads in the motorcycle tyre segment for several years now.

The Johor-based distributor had recently launched the Maxxis MA3D tyre for sizes 110/70-17R for those riding on 17-inch rims. These have been touted as one of the highest quality available in Malaysia. The new tyres are targeted at riders of high-performance underbone bikes, and machines under 200cc capacity.

The launch was also held in conjunction with the Maxxis Family Day where Maxxis dealers and retailers nationwide were honoured by the tyre distributor.

Daytona Sport Trading sales manager Tan Kiat said:

"The company aims to sell more than 360,000 tyres next year, compared with this year's 240,000.

"Next year's sales target will see an average national sales of 30,000 units per month. We are confident of achieving the target as motorcyclists are now more concerned with tyre quality and safety standards."

Tan said this during the Family Day in Seri Alam, Johor.

Present were Maxxis International president Wally Chen, CSV adviser to the president Leonardo Liao, and its director Lenny Lee.

Tan added that the Maxxis brand is aiming for the top spot for high quality motorcycle tyres in Malaysia.

The Maxxis brand has been around for over 40 years. It is synonymous with high quality tyres for automobile, light trucks, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, bicycles, race karts, trailers, and lawn mowers.

As one of the world's leading premium tyre producers, Maxxis has won awards and achieved international certifications.

Maxxis motorcycle tyres are available at most motorcycle workshops nationwide.
