Many intrusions into riders' space

I AGREE with the views in the letter, 'Personal space on buses, trains lesser' (my paper, Nov 5).

Commuters pay a fare, which entitles us to a seat or space to stand in on public transport.

However, we are often at the mercy of other riders, who are blasting music on their MP3 players or mobile phones.

Newspapers, backpacks and luggage also get in one's way.
