Do your bit on public transport

I REFER to the letter, "Many intrusions into riders' space" (my paper, Nov 13).

I could not agree more with the writer's complaints.

Perhaps more officers need to patrol trains and buses to ensure that passengers behave in a considerate manner and respect others' personal space.

There are also those who knock into others with their backpacks or handbags when moving about in the bus or train.

People with bulky bags should be more mindful of their surroundings.

I am sure journeys on public transport would be much happier if everyone did his or her part.
