British MotoGP round swaps dates with Italy

LONDON, ENGLAND (Reuters) - MotoGP's governing body issued a revised provisional 2010 calendar on Tuesday with the British Grand Prix's return to Silverstone for the first time in 24 years pushed back two weeks to June 20.

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) said Italy's Mugello circuit would now take the June 6 slot originally handed to Britain.

Races in France and Czech Republic were also pushed back a week while San Marino moves forward.

Silverstone has replaced Donington Park as host of the British race and will be the sixth round of the 18 race calendar. The circuit could also host the Formula One Grand Prix on July 11.

April 11 - Qatar (Losail)*

April 25 - Japan (Motegi)

May 2 - Spain (Jerez)

May 23 - France (Le Mans)

June 6 - Italy (Mugello)

June 20 - Britain (Silverstone)

June 26 - Netherlands (Assen)

July 4 - Catalunya (Barcelona)

July 18 - Germany (Sachsenring)

July 25 - U.S. (Laguna Seca)

Aug 22 - Czech Republic (Brno)

Aug 29 - Indianapolis

Sept 5 - San Marino (Misano)

Sept 19 - Hungary (Balatonring)

Oct 10 - Malaysia (Sepang)

Oct 17 - Australia (Phillip Island)

Oct 31 - Portugal (Estoril)

Nov 7 - Valencia
