>HOT on the heels of its announcement to sponsor a Formula One team next year, home-grown company YHI Corporation has upped its status from leading tyre distributor to tyre manufacturer with its own brand called Neuton.

Its group managing director Richard Tay believes the move is a natural expansion for the company, after successfully creating its own brand of alloy wheels, Advanti Racing.

The first Neuton product - the NT5000 - is pitched as a performance passenger car tyre with budget-friendly pricing. Launched in Europe last year, it is available here in most popular sizes.
