PORSCHE is recalling 18,856 Cayennes worldwide to fix a fuel line flaw in the engine compartment.

The exercise affects vehicles made between Nov 30, 2006, and Jan 18 this year.

Porsche said slight movements could cause a fuel line to come in contact with the engine compartment cladding.

This could cause a knocking sound and abrasion markings could occur on the fuel line itself.

It will take about 40 minutes to fix each car.
