BUGATTI has appointed a marketing manager for the Far East - Mr Frank Niermann, who was once Audi area sales manager for the region.

Life! understands that the Volkswagen-owned supercar marque - which currently makes only left-hand-drive Veyrons - is eyeing the super-rich in Singapore.

It is looking to bring in a demonstrator unit to entice buyers who are willing to part with $4 million to $5 million to put a 1,001-horsepower car on the road.

The Veyron hits 100kmh in 2.5 seconds.
