Fiery death after crash

KUALA LUMPUR: A car burst into flames after a crash on the Federal Highway yesterday morning killing the driver.

A police spokesman said the car was traced to Chow Kim Foo of Seremban through the number plate, the only component of the car still intact.

Chow, 25, worked in a family-owned VCD shop.

"The incident happened about 3.30am near the Jalan Klang Lama exit. The victim was driving towards Petaling Jaya and is believed to have lost control of the car and smashed into a lamp post.

"The Wira burst into flames, trapping the driver inside," said the spokesman.
Five men from the Pantai Fire and Rescue Services Department rushed to the scene but were too late to save him. The body was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem.

It is learnt that Chow's elder sister was called to the hospital yesterday to give a blood sample for DNA testing.
