JOHOR BARU, MALAYSIA - A car wash without water - that is what a company is offering vehicle owners here.

As an added bonus, the compound used by the Mobile GreenWash company is said to be eco-friendly and the service comes right up to your door-step.

The service has attracted many customers who find it convenient besides being environmentally-friendly.

Co-founder of the company Nicholas Lee said he and a few friends thought up the idea about the environmentally-friendly car wash a year ago.

"Many car wash services in other countries including the United States, Australia and some parts of Europe have been using this technology for more than 10 years now," he said.

Nicholas said the products used were biodegradable, non-toxic and environmentally-friendly.

Car owner Chin Seow Chek, 33, who participated in a free demonstration said he was impressed with the service.

"The results after washing the car is almost similar to a conventional car wash," he said.

Another car owner Ahmad Kadafi, 25, said he was amazed by the waterless car wash service.

"After all, it is not everyday that you come across a car wash that does not use water," he said, adding that it was an added benefit that the service was environmentally-friendly.

He said that he was pleased with the end result as it left his car looking good and smelling of fruity fragrance.
