BEIJING - "Toll collectors" are a common sight but a new "collector" has outshined others, according to a report on the website Chinasmack.

A middle-aged woman wearing nothing but a bra and shorts was seen walking among the traffic recently, collecting "toll" from all the cars passing through the intersection of Xihuamen and North Street.

She would signal for a car to stop before walking over to its windows to collect her "toll", the report said.

The woman would block the cars from moving unless they pay up. Most drivers paid up and were allowed to pass.

However a black Honda was unwilling to hand over the money, the report stated.

Subsequently the bra-clad woman climbed onto the car and stepped on the black Honda's windshield with her high heels.

The windshield cracked but the woman did not stop there. She proceeded to take off her heels and hit the Honda's windows, viciously asking: "Are you going to pay up?"

Other cars were stuck in the commotion.

Police arrived at the scene minutes later but the woman escaped.

A bystander said: "That woman has some mental problems, often stopping cars on the street asking for toll."
