Beware! This is how your car might get stolen

A VIDEO clip of a car theft committed right under the driver's nose has surfaced on website Stomp.

The reader who submitted the clip said he received it in an e-mail.

The undated recording showed a man stealing a car right in front of its driver, without using any weapons or tools.

The man simply tied an object to the car when the female driver was away.

When she returned and proceeded to drive off, she realised something was stuck to the back of the car.

Perhaps she heard the scraping sounds made by the object when the car was on the move and dragging it. But in any case, the woman got out of the car and went to the back to check.

Driver tricked out of seat

It was when she stepped out of her seat, leaving the car keys inside that the thief sneaked inside and drove off, leaving her to watch in horror.

It didn't help that during the entire clip, the female drive did not manage to get a good look at the thief.
