Car turns turtle, blocks road in Yishun

By Ng Ee Ching

SINGAPORE - It was just a regular night for undergraduate Xu Wei Xuan, who was watching television when he heard a deafening crash.

He initially thought someone had thrown a heavy item down the rubbish chute.

But when he looked out of his third-storey balcony, he saw an overturned sedan in the middle of a road.

"The car was upside down and blocking the entire road.

"I think the car hit the kerb, overturning in the process," Mr Xu, 21, said.

A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman confirmed that a call was received at about 11.20pm about an overturned car near Block 386, Yishun Ring Road.
