Fastlane: G-class marathon

A MERCEDES G-class driven by German globetrotter Gunther Holtorf stopped over in Singapore last week after having clocked over half a million kilometres in a 17-year odyssey spanning more than 130 countries. The 88-horsepower 1988 diesel G-class had bare modifications - only heavy-duty shock absorbers and stronger springs to cope with its fully-laden weight of over 3 tonnes.
